Table Edge and Bishop's Hat

Table Edge

Very simple napkin form. It will be used when time's short only or the work for the festive seems to much. Undenyable positive: this form is made very quickly. The disatvantage of this form is, that it is very sensible against wind and it is not good vor preparing, because the curvature tends to get a crease. The best use for this napkin form is for breakfast and afternoon tea time.

step1 So it's done: basic form is the rectangle. Take the top left and right edges and lie it softly to the middle - but lay, not fold! Only in this case there's a fine curvature.

step2 To prepare a serie of these forms, put them twelve till 15 of them in to a circle.

Triple Table Edge

Triple Table Edge - more pretty, more complicated.

step1 The Triple Table Edge is only few more complicated: first take the upper layer of the half napkin, lay it onto the left lower corner. Bend the right upper edge smooth down.

step2 Lay this arising "ear" slightly to the right.

step3 Wrap the left side like the simple table Edge. Do not wipe onto the napkin! Only then the curvature will be fine.

Bishop's Hat

This little art work is perfectly for beginners. Best suitable for this napkin form is a serviette with embroided borders, wich will be nice by the kind of folding. This napkin form is good tu prepare.

step1 Take the simple napkin folded to a rectangle. Fold an edge up and the other edge down.

step2 Rotate the napkin slightly about 45 degrees to the left. It should lie horizontally.

step3 Now things well be complicated ;) Fold the upper part of the napkin to the back thru the dotted line and pull the Edges back to the front.

step4 The result should look like this.

step5 Open the right part of the napkin and fold the lower left part to the right.

step6 Close the right part again. If your result looks like the drawing on the left, you're on the way! Now turn the napkin to the other side.

step7 step8 Now put the right part along the dotted line to the left in the bag. In this form you can prepare the napkin and put in into the wardrobe, e.g. To finish open the napkin on the bottom and form it to an oval.
