Folding table napkins: bud and fleur de lis
Fleur de lis
Lilie
Really looking good, isn't it? This form isn't as difficult as it looks if you know some tricks.
Open the napkin completeley. First fold the edges diagonal to the upper one, so that results a triangle.
Fold the right edge to the top.
Same with the left edge, resulting a square. Please remind this form, you'll need it again.
Now take two thirds of the lower edge upwards. Then the edge back to basic.
Please ensure that the edge do not lay under the basic, the napkin will fall down if
it is so.
Just "only" bend the napkin backwards and put together. It is important to open the
napkin jerky and pull it strong. Form it really round, so it will be stable.
Pull the upper edges of the napkin so that it looks like the image.
Bud napkin
Knospe
It's a variation of the fleur de lis - only slightly different, but another optics.
Start at the square of the previous napkin - I told you to remind.
Now fold the upper edges to the basic edge.
Now fold the opper edge to the middle.
And again the upper border.
This border bend now over the lower middle.
Only turn back and put together on backside.
Variation: pull the edges down to table or put the edges into the bulge. It is more easy if the
napkin is about 15 inches or bigger.
